Laurie has been practicing and studying Iyengar Yoga for 19 years. She is certified through the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada and has 11 years of teaching experience. Her teaching is thorough and concise. She loves teaching, especially beginners and older adults and weaves humour into every class.
All classes currently taught by Laurie are "All Levels". Students are encouraged to work to their capabilities. All postures are taught in a manner that promotes a safe, productive and beneficial experience for each student. Individual needs are addressed; corrections are given when appropriate and are also individualized. Both traditional asanas(postures) and yoga breathing(pranayama) are taught.
Please note: Older adults, especially those 60 years and better are welcome and encouraged to attend the Monday morning class.
